The play of Romeo and Juliet has conflict written throughout. There are many different types of conflict shown through Shakespeares writing such as the external conflict between the two families of Capulet and Montague, as well the internal conflict that both Romeo experiences as well as Juliet through their love for each other. This conflict shows the main message of the play which is fate, I believe that the message of the play is to solve this conflict between the two families of Montague and Capulet.

PLAN                                                                                                                                Paragraph 1: Explain the conflict between the two families of Capulet and Montague and show how deep the conflict is and relate it back to the main message of the play (most likely to end the family feud). Prologue “Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona where we lay our scene. From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.

Paragraph 2: Explore further into the conflict that Romeo and Juliet created by being together both from two different families and explain the troubles that they both created by having a relationship together then explain how this in the long term helped the families solve the grudge between each other and end the feud (main message of the play). Juliet “My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me, That I must love a loathed enemy.”

Paragraph 3: Show the conflict that Romeo and Juliet both had internally within themselves about how what they were doing felt bad or they knew that something would go tragically wrong related to their relationship. Romeo “I fear too early, for my mind misgives Some consequence yet hanging in the stars Shall bitterly begin his fearful date110With this night’s revels, and expire the term Of a despisèd life closed in my breast By some vile forfeit of untimely death. But he that hath the steerage of my course, Direct my sail. On, lusty gentlemen.
