Film: The Forest

  1. Your film takes a range of the cinematographic effects of the original ‘source’ scene and creates a highly original new piece within those parameters. It also introduces a range of style elements from the Horror genre with control and effect. The ‘dual narrative’ element of the original was not fully transposed to your original film – though it could be argued that the supernatural elements supplant that as they likely come from an ‘altered plane’, which is in many senses a more sophisticated idea (when successfully implemented – as here) than simply two simultaneous sets of action. Great work.
